General Rules:
**Registration and Exam Notes: You can register with one selection, but for the provincial competitions, you must have two selections prepared. If you choose two selections, they must be selected from different lists.

**Competitor Level Selection Guidelines: If the exam takes place after January 31, 2025, candidates can continue to register for competitions at the same level; however, candidates whose exams are before this date cannot.
Competitors can enter as many classes as they like, however they must all be at the SAME level,
ex. Gr. 3 List A, List B, NOT Gr. 4 List A
Vocal, strings and woodwinds participants must provide their own live accompaniment. Exceptions are noted in individual classes. Accompanist fees
are not included in registration fees.
All participants must supply an original copy of their music for the adjudicator. Accompanists must have original music with them displayed on the piano or beside it, however may use photocopies(or iPad) from which to play.
List A Grade Strings Solo
One choice of one selection from current RCM or CC syllabi from List A. Memorization is required.
List B Grade Strings Solo
One choice of one selection from current RCM or CC syllabi from List B. Memorization is required.
List C Grade Strings Solo
One choice of one selection from current RCM or CC syllabi from List C. Memorization is required.
List D Grade Strings Solo – Unaccompanied
One choice of one selection from current RCM or CC syllabi from List D. Memorization is required.
Own Choice Strings Solo
One choice of one selection from current RCM or CC syllabi. Memorization required.
Concert Class – Strings
One choice of TWO (2) contrasting selections at the same grade level from the current RCM or CC syllabi. Memorization required.
Non - Competitive Class - Strings
One choice of one selection from current RCM or CC syllabi. Memorization is NOT required.
This class will not qualify for provincials.
Suzuki Non-Competitive Strings Class
A - Upper Strings – Violin / Viola
B - Lower Strings – Cello / Double Bass
One Choice of one selection from Suzuki book. Memorization is NOT required. Competitors should only one piece, one class for the current level they are in.
